Avani Lekhara Paralympics first Indian womanes to win gold at Paralympics

He is the fourth Indian shooter to win gold at the Paralympics after swimmer Murlikant Petkar (1972), javelin thrower Devendra Jhajaria (2004 and 2016), and high jumper Thangavelu Mariappan (2016).

In the SH1 rifle division, shooters are capable of holding guns with weapons. Athletes have weaknesses in the legs, for example, dislocation or paraplegia. Some athletes will compete in the seating position, others will compete in the standing position
